This summer marks my 6th year as transplant "New Yorker," and if there's one thing I learned quickly about New Yorkers, it's they don't have time...for anything. Everyone is constantly on the go, and if you don't keep up or get out of the way, you'll just get run over.
All that mad-dashing and you wonder how a gal is supposed to stay looking chic while weaving in and out of tourists, gracefully running across the street before the light changes, and being uncomfortably smooshed between total strangers on a packed subway car.
A great dress is always your best option...even if you don't live in NYC. A dress is effortless style, in my opinion. Pick a fun print, trendy fabric, or hot colors of the season, throw on some heels, some cool accessories, and voila....you're ready to conquer your day!
I chose to pair this fit and flare Bar iii dress with my Theory blazer to make the look a bit more professional. My nude heels were an obvious choice to finish the look...and should be a staple in every woman's closet!
