My friend, Tami, just recently got married in Texas and I was so honored to be one of her bridesmaids. The mood of the wedding was vintage and romantic. After Dennis and I got back, I started thinking about old Hollywood glam styles with the waves and curls, bold red lips, and dramatic eyes. So I played around a couple of Sundays ago and created a 50s Hollywood look...it's much easier than you think. Click through the gallery to take a look.
I unfortunately can't add a caption to each image at this time (my platform is having technical difficulties). But some very important tips: make sure you use a 1" curling iron and wrap the hair away from your face. Each section should be wrapped in the same direction to create a consistent curl pattern. It's this pattern, when brushed out, that creates the old Hollywood wave. You'll want to create pin curls to hold the curls while they cool. This ensures you won't completely break the curl pattern when you brush.
As for makeup, see below for a full list of products I used. I did some highlighting and contouring and I'll work on a completely separate post explaining those techniques. It's actually a lot of fun! I think makeup in general is a lot of fun though!
