In honor of yet another winter storm bearing down upon New York, today's post is about winter essentials. I absolutely despise the cold...my hair doesn't like it, my skin definitely doesn't like it, and it just makes me bitter. I wasn't built for this kind of weather! Ugh!
With that said, most of the items I consider essential during these colder months are designed to keep you warm! A soft scarf to wrap around your neck, a cozy sweater to throw on over a tee shirt and skinny jeans, and duck boots to keep your feet toasty and dry while stomping through the snow. For the home, nothing smells more warm and cozy than a vanilla scented candle, and you'll definitely need a plush blanket to snuggle up with (I'm obsessed with this sherpa/chenille throw from Pottery Barn).
And we can't forget winter beauty. Hair and skin take a beating during the cold months, so they need extra TLC while the temps are low outside. I love this deep conditioner by Oribe and my skin cannot live without Egyptian Magic (it's my latest beauty find).
What are some of your winter essentials?
