Beauty Station
This is one of my happy places...
My frequently-used makeup and brushes are here, along with most of my hair care products and styling tools. I pull up a stool, put on some music, and start playing. As weird as it may sound, I unwind and relax by getting "glammed up." I like trying new looks, different techniques, hair products (remember, I'm a product whore), so I've created a little space in our bedroom that I call my beauty station.
When I first had the idea to create my own beauty area, I googled vanity mirrors with lights. You can buy a setup for a couple of hundred dollars, or you can do like I did and just create your own for less than $50. I bought the vanity lights at a local hardware store along with the mirror and electric cord to attach to the lights. I already had the bookshelf and bought the acrylic makeup organizer from The Container Store.
My favorite piece from my beauty station, is my recent purchase: an Oliver Gal print of gold shimmer lips. I wanted it as soon as I saw it and knew the perfect place to hang it. What could go better with my beauty station than gold lips?
I think it's safe to say my favorite hair care line is Oribe. I'm obsessed with all of the products and they smell so wonderful! Every gal should have the Dry Texturizing Spray...it's amazing! It's a bit pricey, but trust me, you'll love it!
