The Same...But Different
One of my favorite things about fashion is the the different looks you can create, even when using the same piece. For instance, I blogged a look with this Rachel Roy sequin eagle tank about a year ago. It was a boho look, very free-spirit, and "festival-ish"...you can view it here. BTW, did you notice how many retailers were promoting "festival fashion" the past couple of weeks in prep for Coachella? Anyway, that look is a totally different vibe from this new look. It's more chic, downtown, and edgy. It could be even more edgy if I'd lose the coat and blazer, but I'm such a baby when it's cold!
Nothing screams downtown style like an all-black outfit, but I like the contrast of the gold eagle and white blazer. For me, it'd be too boring if it were head to toe solid black. And who likes boring?
